... and that's where my day went.

i stumbled across a story on my web-travels earlier today, and i just can't stop reading about it. it's all over the internet - a new literary scandal involving a 19 year old Harvard undergrad, Kaavya Viswanathan, and her debut novel, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got A Life. I remember reading about her last year - she was reported to have gotten a $500,000 advance from Little, Brown.
Now we have KaavyaGate - a plagarism accusation that the author claims was unintentional. I wonder how this one's going to pan out.
