swings and roundabouts

just when it all gets a little crazy, something nice happens - there was an article in the sunday sun-herald on me and the book, and it made me feel happy. it's hands-down my favourite from all the publicity pieces. i've put a copy of the scan on my other website, so to read a copy, click here. the photo in the article was taken last week at kensington station, and the interview for the article happened in august. i missed out on getting the papers on sunday, but i have operatives working to get their hands on hard-copy versions as i type...

yesterday i had a meeting that could end up seeing me smack-bang in the middle of a writing dream that's been on my 'hypotheticals' wishlist for a while. on the way to the meeting i was a little nervous, then during the meeting i was perfectly fine, and then after the meeting i wandered around bridge road in a daze for a bit. i stumbled upon an organic market called macro. i spent $50 on chocolates, snap-dried fruits, cheeses and rough oat crackers. the future's sweet, rich and slightly crumbly round the edges - just the way i like it.
