quick change

nothing.
nothing, nothing, nothing.
no writing, jotting, sketching; there's even been little-to-no reading. i put a book on request at my local library and let it lapse; when i finally dragged myself in there to ask about it, someone else had taken it away. i had to re-request it. serves me right.

have been stuck in a bit of a creative pothole lately, which is damn frustrating. maybe it had something to do with the fact that i fell out of love with the 'nook' i'd made for myself in the upstairs spare room (yes, the very same nook i carried on and on about in a previous post), and subsequently moved the laptop back downstairs to the lounge room, where i spent most of my time surfing the net and reading about other recently published authors who jumped straight back into the saddle and started typing away as if nothing had changed at all. i don't know. anyway, yesterday i had a cup of tea with my former publisher and we chatted about my creative dearth, and i decided today to re-arrange the nook into a more functional space. so here i am sitting in aforementioned reorganised nook, and i hope it bloody pays off. because there's nothing worse than wandering around, wondering why everyone else seems to be writing up a storm when you can't even manage to keep your blogs updated regularly.

anyhoo, appearances. i have one scheduled for a couple of weeks from now, and i'm really looking forward to it. come along if you're in the melbourne area, and be sure to say hello afterward if you do.
